Coming Soon! ✨ Celebrating ✨ a hilight 

Recognition is more meaningful when more people can be a part of it! The new Celebrate ✨ button lets any teacher or staff member add their voice to a hilight.

What is the Celebrate button?

You'll see a ✨ button at the bottom-left of every hilight on the Bulletin feeds. Clicking it is your way of saying "I see this, and I celebrate it too."

It's fast and doesn't require writing anything, but it still sends a meaningful signal to the person being recognized and to the person who took the time to send the hilight.

How to celebrate a hilight

  1. Find a hilight in the Bulletin feeds that you want to celebrate.
  2. Click the ✨ button in the bottom-left corner of that hilight card
  3. The button will turn purple and a sparkle animation plays. That's it, you've celebrated it!
  4. The recipient(s) and the sender of the hilight will receive a notification that you celebrated their hilight!
  5. Text will appear next to the button confirming your celebration, and you can then click on that text to see a list of who else celebrated the hilight.

Changed your mind? You can un-celebrate a hilight by clicking the button again. The button returns to its original state, and the hilight recipient won't be notified.

Seeing who celebrated

If you sent or received a hilight that has been celebrated, you can click the text next to the celebration button to see a full list of everyone who celebrated it. The popup will show each person's name, role, and school.

Admin users: You can always click the celebration text on any hilight (not just ones you sent or received) to see the list of celebrators. Non-admin users can only see the list for hilight's that they personally sent or received, or if they also celebrated it.

Notifications when someone celebrates your hilight

When a colleague celebrates a hilight that you sent or received, you'll be notified via the in-app notifications inbox, by email, and by mobile notifications depending on how you set up your notification preferences. You can adjust how and where you receive celebration notifications by going to your Account page and clicking on the Notifications tab.
