NOTE: Not all school districts have the Rewards Marketplace enabled. If you don't see a Rewards tab in the top navigation bar, it hasn't been turned on for your district yet. If you don’t see it and you think you should or if you are interested in getting it enabled, reach out to us at support@hilightedu.com!
How you earn reward points
- Receive a hilight → earn 1 reward point
- Send 5 hilights → earn 1 reward point
Your point balance is shown at the top of the Rewards page and in your sidebar profile.
Browsing available rewards
- Click the Rewards tab in the top navigation bar.
- On the Available Rewards tab, you'll see a grid of rewards set up by your school or district. Each reward card shows:
- The reward name and photo
- The point cost
- How many are left (for limited rewards)
- A Redeem button (grayed out until you have enough points)
- Click the ⓘ button on any reward to see more details.
Redeeming a reward
- When you've found a reward you want and have enough points, click the Redeem button.
- If the reward includes redemption instructions (like how to claim a gift card or where to pick something up), they'll appear after you confirm.
- The reward owner — usually your school admin or another staff member — will receive a notification that you've redeemed. They'll follow up with you to fulfill it.
Viewing your redeemed rewards
Click the My Purchased Rewards tab to see everything you've redeemed, including the date, points spent, and a "View Redeem Instructions" button for each.
